OTML supports medical symposium
Ok Tedi Mining Limited, last week made a donation of K100,000 towards the 55th Annual Medical Symposium to be held in Port Moresby from September 1 – 6th following a request from the Patron of the Symposium, Hon Richard Maru, Minister for National Planning.
Managing Director and CEO of Ok Tedi, Peter Graham, said Ok Tedi is pleased to support the symposium as a Gold Sponsor.
“The symposium will bring together PNG’s health professionals to share ideas and discuss new and innovative ways to improve the standard of health, health service delivery including the support for skills development of the hardworking health staff across the country.” he said.
“At Ok Tedi we are fully aware of the challenges of providing health services since we fund the operations of the Tabubil Hospital and over the last 10 years have funded an extensive health service program costing over K100 million in the North Fly District and the CMCA corridor in the Middle Fly and South Fly regions of the Western Province covering a population of over 150,000 people,” he added.
The Hon Minister, thanked Ok Tedi for the timely donation towards the Symposium.
