Ok Tedi resumes normal production
Ok Tedi Mining Limited (OTML) today announced that it has returned to normal production after the second of the two processing circuits which were damaged in a fire incident on the 20th of December 2020 was restored over the weekend. This follows the successful restart of SAG-2 on 6th January 2021.
Fire affects Ok Tedi’s Production
Ok Tedi Mining Limited advises that on Sunday 20 December 2020 there was a fire on a cable tray underneath the Flotation Motor Control Centre (MCC) at the process plant.
The fire caused damage to electrical and communication cables, and some parts of the MCC.
